Fire retardant testing of aircraft materials, fire test Far25.853 - standard name

U Far25.853: Fire Protection for compartment interior

Fire protection for internal materials of aircraft Far25.853: - fire retardant and fire test

Test of combustion properties of aircraft materials FAR25.853 - 60 degree

 combustion test

U FAR25.853 60 degree combustion test brief introduction

The ignition source of the test is also the same as that of horizontal combustion

test. The test department is carried out in the open combustion chamber, or

in an open laboratory of 300mm * 300mm * 600mm (high) and top and side.

The insulators, electrical conductors and cables for aviation should be tested

by this test.

U FAR25.853 60 degree combustion test - Test Method

The test specimen is made of 3 pieces, marked at the end of the head and tail

from the fire source. The specimen is tilted at 60 degrees. Ignition source and

horizontal combustion test. Imposition of flame time.

Test the following items:

- combustion length

- burning time

- self extinguishing time of droplet

Later, some tests were added to FAR25, and more stringent fire protection

requirements for materials and components used in aircraft were put forward.

Such as fire blocking test, cargo compartment and baggage compartment lining

material flame penetration test, OSU heat release test and NBS smoke test.

Fire retardant testing of aircraft materials, fire test - other relevant standards

(App. F to Part 25, part V).

The combustion heat release test is carried out according to 14 FAR 25.853

 (d), Appendix F, Part IV.

The passenger seat is based on 14 FAR 25.853 (C, App.F to part II).

The level combustion test is conducted according to 14 FAR 25.853 B (2,3),

 (App. F to Part 25 part I a (a), (1).

The fire test for cargo rack is carried out according to 14 FAR 25.855

(App. F to part III).

45 degree combustion test 14 FAR 25.853 (b), (App. F to Part 25, part I 6 (6)).
